Jacqueline Fernandez is a Sri Lankan actor from Manama, Bahrain and was raised in a multi-ethnic home. Jacqueline's father Elroy is a Sri Lankan (Catholic Sinhalese) and her mother, Kim, a Malaysian. She is the younger of two sisters and a brother who is older. In the 80s, her parents emigrated to Bahrain in protest against the civil war over Sri Lanka. This is why she was both born and raised in Bahrain. After her schooling in Bahrain and after that, she received a Scholarship to pursue a degree at Sydney's University of Sydney, where she completed a bachelor's degree in Media and Communications in Sydney, Australia. She also attended an institute called the Berlitz School of Languages which helped her improve on French, Arabic and Spanish. Miss Sri Lanka 2006 competed for Miss Universe 2006 as well as Miss Universe 2006 when she was awarded the title in 2006. After her 2006 Miss Sri Lanka win, Padukone made her debut on television as host of a TV show on Sri Lankan businesses named Lanka Business Report. Padukone's father was a badminton player Prakash Padukone. Padukone has been born in Copenhagen as well as Bangalore. Padukone played in the national championships when she was a teenager but gave up her sport career to become a model. Padukone is from Mangalore, and her native language is Konkani. Padukone Village is located within Kundapura Taluk within the Udupi District of Karnataka located in India. The father of her, Prakash Padukone, is a retired badminton player of world-class fame, while her mother is a travel agent.
